Rooms overlook either our lush inner courtyard garden with soothing fountain, or offer a view of the quiet grandeur of the surrounding Berkshire Landscape. Many have bay windows and fireplaces and are spacious enough to be your quiet, comfortable retreat.

Of course, The Orchards hasn't left the modern world behind. Each newly renovated room has individual climate control, LCD/HD television, CD alarm clocks with MP3 line, two data ports, voice mail and free high-speed wireless internet access. There is a personal safe discretely tucked away, and many rooms come with refrigerators stocked with refreshments.

The luxuriously large bathrooms were designed for indulgence. From the separate marble enclosed shower to the comfortable tub, all appointments, including the exceptional lighting, lend themselves to guest comfort. An adjoining dressing room with a second vanity and sink allows for unhurried dressing as you enjoy the plush terry robe and towels.

The classic and contemporary amenities come together to create an incomparable experience. The pillow-top bed with feather pillows are turned down nightly, with a plate of home-baked cookies left on the night table. This is our way of making your stay at The Orchards one of pampered pleasure.

For cooling off during warm summer days, we offer our guests a refreshing swimming pool framed by the Berkshire Mountains to enjoy the gentle New England sun.

A sunny exercise room with sauna is available to hotel guests with treadmill, cross trainer, recumbent bicycle, and weight machine.

The pool is available to guests from Memorial Day Weekend until October 1.

Peruse the well-stocked bookshelves that flank the fireplace and its eighteenth century carved oak mantel. A blazing fire warms the room on wintry days.
